The process of hand-dyeing and batiking removes much of the lengthwise stretch but leaves the widthwise stretch, making the Bali Baby Wrap super supportive and comfy for a wide range of ages.  Can be used as a front carrier, a hip carrier and a back child carrier. 

Some people call the Bali Baby Stretch a sort of "hybrid" between stretchy and woven wraps.
