What a great idea! The Wrapsody Water Wrap from Gypsy Mama can get wet, dries easily and can be used from newborn to preschooler.  Like other stretchy wraps, it makes a great front baby carrier!  It can also be used as a hip carrier. 

Made from soft, silky, hypoallergenic, sports knit fabric, the Water Wrap wicks moisture and sweat away from the body, and dries quickly afterward. The tapered ends and narrow body make this carrier lightweight and cool.

To top it all off, the manufacturer of this fabric guarantees a UPF (UV Protection Factor) of 15+ to help prevent sunburn. fabric blocks over 93% of the sun's rays (compare to Solarveil which blocks 70%).The stretch of this fabric makes it easy to wash in between you and your child in the shower. This carrier is great for front and hip carries. Not recommended for back carries.

This slinky silky nature of this wrap also makes it a contender for evening wear.

Melanie2011-08-04I LOVE MY WATER WRAP! I use it for my now 14-month-old and it is wonderful! We shower in it, I use it every time we go swimming and sometimes on land. She is happy and my hands are free to help my son. I get so many compliments on it! Worth every penny.
