Celebrity Babywearing Watch: Kate Hudson out and about in a gorgeous ring sling!

by Sling Lady on August 8, 2013

It’s been a while since we posted celebrity babywearing pics but these shots of Kate Hudson looking fabulous and wearing her little one in a gorgeous ring sling was just too good to pass up!

I’ve been wondering when celebs were going to start figuring out that baby carriers can be fabulous and fashionable as well as functional, so I am loving seeing something other than the ubiquitous Bjorn and, lately, the Ergo baby carrier.  There are just so many beautiful options in baby carriers these days that I’m always a little surprised to see fashion-plate celebrity mamas wearing any old carrier.  Of course, I totally get it that not everyone has a huge stash, but if money were no object, I don’t think I could pass up some of the pretties out there (like say, the fabulous Sakura Bloom Silk Ring Slings)

But Kate, an avid babywearer who is definitely showing some signs of carrier addiction, is looking fantastic and totally rocking this look – not to mention those heels.  I don’t think I could wear those heels even if I wasn’t slinging a toddler!

The babywearing world is divided as to whether this is a slingified BBSlen Pineapple or a P-Sling.  What’s your opinion?

P.S. If Kate were to ask my advice, I would suggest she might find her sling more comfortable if she centered it over the ball of  her shoulder.  Or I might just send her to this article for tips on getting comfortable in her ring sling!

I agree, Kimmie! it’s too bad manufacturer’s instructions never include the other options…

I vote Pineapple- also, I wish more people knew about wearing rings on their sides/backs. I can’t seem to find any use of my ring slings when worn the suggested way, but I LOVE to wear mine with rings on my side. :)
