It’s been ages since I wrote, but I’ve been doing research! That is, while I was on vacation in Scotland with my close friend from high school, I had the chance to revisit some of my favorite baby carriers with her brand new, squishy 6 week old baby. This little guy, Daniel, is one of those babies who is lovely and happy, as long as he’s being held ALL THE TIME. So I had lots of chances to get my own cuddles in, while giving my friend a well-deserved break (she has three older kids, too!).
It was so fun getting to play with carriers again! And I forgot how sweetly little newborn heads smell. Trust me, it’s not the same the same when they are 9 (as my son is), so if you have a newborn, inhale deeply – you won’t want to later!
While I was packing light and didn’t bring any of my own extensive stash for the trip, my friend has a Kangaroo Korner fleece pouch, a Wrapsody Stretch-Hybrid wrap and a brand new Beco Gemini, which was my gift to them. I used all three quite a bit (the Gemini was handy for carrying her two year old as well), but wow, I fell in love with the Wrapsody Stretch wrap all over again. It was so very comfortable and spread the weight across my shoulders and back so nicely that I was literally able to carry Daniel for hours without feeling any shoulder or back strain at all. Every parent of a newborn should own one of these.

Great review! I have been looking at the Wrapsody for my new LO. I have an Ergo but want something for those first few months. Thanks!
