About Sakura Bloom Gradient Linen

This perfectly summer-worthy sling will be your go-to carrier whether you’re on a grand family adventure, hiking a scenic trail, voyaging to the grocery store, or just snuggling at home. The geometric repeat pattern of the weave gives the linen gorgeous dimension and visual interest and helps to make the sling both tough and breathable. We love the textural hand of this fabric, and the fact that it just gets better and better with wear.

The Gradient Collection brings all our favorite aspects of linen to the forefront: naturally antibacterial, cool to wear, and perfect for all climates, this linen is also easy to care for and becomes softer and stronger over time. The character-filled ridges, bumps, and creases of this wonderful textile simply add to the effect of its organic, earth-inspired beauty. All you have to do is let it mold to your body and cocoon your babe — and get out and get exploring together!

I didn’t end up keeping my gradient my hubby bought me one for Mother’s Day! But Laurel was so sweet and helpful with the return! It was so easy planning on buying again!

I had to try Gradient and I snagged a Sky. Gradient is incredibly light, grippy, and airy. However, it is also rougher than Sakura Bloom’s other fabrics, including classic linen. It has gotten much softer after breaking in and multiple washes, but I still find myself reaching for other slings most of the time. That said, something about this linen feels super durable and rugged, and this would be my go-to for any situation where I would be reluctant to bring my other slings – I took this sling to Disneyland, and could easily imagine taking it to the beach and even using it as a water sling.

The 4 stars is solely for Gradient as compared with other fabric options. I wouldn’t recommend this as a first sling, but would recommend as a more supportive/grippier upgrade for a toddler if silk isn’t your thing, or if you are looking for something durable and rugged.

Carry Me Away is fantastic – highly recommend!

My husband got me gradient in rock last Mother’s Day. I love the look of this sling, but not the feel. It is very rough! I keep washing it to try and soften it up but it hasn’t helped much. I still use it but not for any length of time as it leaves marks in my 5wk old’s poor little legs. It does its job but just isn’t super comfy for baby. I purchased another sling recently and will probably just store this one until my gal gets a little older or it’s winter and she has more layers of clothes to protect her. Definitely disappointed with my purchase. 🙁

Hi Brooke, I’m so sorry to hear you are disappointed with your purchase! Gradient is definitely a not a super soft texture, but it should soften up with use. If it’s leaving red marks, you will want to be sure that your baby has a good seat in the ring sling. I’m going to reach out to you via email to offer assistance with this!
