We first purchased our Tula without the insert thinking we could put a blanket and it would do the same thing. We quickly found out we were incorrect! The infant insert is completely necessary if you plan on putting a newborn in your Tula. It also provides head support. It’s already paid for itself!

I got the Tula ergonomic carrier as a gift for my newborn (by far the best gift). Since my baby is under the 15 pound requirement, I ordered the infant insert so I can put my baby in the Tula carrier now. I’m so glad I ordered it because my baby fits perfectly and securely in my Tula carrier and both baby & mommy love the Tula.
Carry Me Away’s email communication on the purchase was ideal, the item shipped promptly and arrived within a few days. I am very happy with my purchase & doing business with Carry Me Away.

Love my new Tula! I had bought a Mei Tai before and it was extremely difficult to easily put baby in. The Tula has two easy clips and I can put it on by myself. I bought the infant insert which offers great support for my two month old. The Tula isn’t big and bulky and offers perfect back support. Highly recommend!

When I bought my first Tula, I thought I should skip the infant insert and just use the rolled blanket trick. Well once I got my Tula and tried the trick, I was super uncomfortable with her positioning and that that she wasn’t really safe or secure with the blanket. I immediately went out and found the infant insert. Not only is she more secure with it, I am more comfortable with it versus the towel trick. Once your little one out grows the strap, the base can come off and you can just use that. I definitely recommend getting one if you are purchasing a Tula.

Love the Tula infant insert for my wobbly and tiny baby girl.

We affectionately call the insert our baby’s jet pack! It’s extremely lightweight but sturdy. Our baby is big for his age but still working on neck stability, so helps keep him sitting high and steady in the carrier. He is very comfy in it. Very necessary!
